Ambassador Scheme Launches in England

Following on from the popularity of the bi-lingual Ambassador Wales learning portal, Ambassador websites for England and Scotland have been launched, enabling local authorities, organisations, and tourism bodies to offer free online courses.

The courses are aimed at giving local residents, businesses, and visitors more information about the tourism offer in the area, and the heritage and cultural influences that make their location special and unique.

Using module-based learning, interesting facts, videos, and quizzes, the learning experience becomes fun and approachable. With certificates to gain along the way, people are enthused to go further and learn more.

It is a great opportunity for organisations to convey a range of information, not only heritage, culture, and biodiversity, but also sustainable tourism, environmental protection, or projects and plans.

Online learning is an effective way to keep messaging up to date, and to keep in contact with ambassadors who can help spread the word.

Online learning is also convenient for your ambassadors, allowing them to take courses at their own pace, and at a time and place most suitable for them.

The courses can be accessed by local businesses who wish to give their customers a more personalised experience, organisations who wish to train staff to be more knowledgeable about the area, or by residents and visitors who simply wish to know more.
